IDF, ISA and Israel Police Forces Conducted Counterterrorism Activities in Judea and Samaria

Overnight, IDF, ISA and Israel Border Police forces conducted counterterrorism activities in several locations in Judea and Samaria including the towns of Abwein, Bidu, Bayt Rima, Surif, and in the city of Nablus.

The forces also operated in the towns of Khirbet Dir Sa’aida and Khirbet Hatrit to apprehend illegal military equipment and an illegal AK-47 assault rifle.

During the activity in the town of Azzun, the forces apprehended an additional suspect. Overnight, the soldiers spotted a suspect hurling an explosive device at them adjacent to the town of Nabi Saleh. The soldiers responded with live fire, a hit was identified.

Later on, the soldiers spotted multiple suspects shooting live fire towards the Salem crossing. The soldiers responded with live fire towards the suspects, a hit was identified.

The soldiers spotted one of the suspects fleeing the scene. The soldiers conducted a search after the suspect.

During the searches, the soldiers spotted a suspect in the town of Rumana and surrounded the residence the suspect was hiding in using special means. The soldiers eventually apprehended the suspect.

No IDF injuries were reported.

The suspects and confiscated weapons were transferred to security forces for further processing.
