A short while ago, during joint IDF and Israel Police forces activity, the forces stopped a Palestinian vehicle adjacent to the community of Ofra.
The suspect attempted to flee the scene while accelerating the vehicle and attempting to run over the force, who responded by shooting towards the vehicle.
A police officer was lightly injured in his leg and he was evacuated to a hospital for further medical treatment.
The vehicle and one of the suspects were apprehended at a nearby checkpoint. The suspect was injured as a result of the shooting.
The incident is under review.
