IDF, ISA and Israel Police forces conducted counterterrorism activity in Judea and Samaria
During an IDF, ISA and Israel Border Police counterterrorism activity in the area of Jenin, the forces apprehended Khaled a-Hija, wanted individual suspected of involvement in terrorist activity.
During the activity, suspects hurled explosive devices and targeted the soldiers with direct fire. The soldiers responded with live fire.
In parallel, IDF soldiers operated in the area of the city of Jenin in order to apprehend Ahmad Jaradat and Daajef Bages, who are suspected of involvement in terrorist activity.
The soldiers operated while being targeted with direct fire and responded with live fire, hits were identified. In addition, the soldiers confiscated a weapon which was used by one of the suspects.
The soldiers also conducted counterterrorism activity in the towns of Abu Dis, Bitut, Silwad, Anata, Ein, Nabi Saleh, Bayt Rima and the city of Bethlehem.
The soldiers apprehended two additional suspects in the area of the city of Ramallah and led to questioning the relatives of the assailant who carried out the shooting attack yesterday (Wednesday).
Furthermore, four wanted suspects were apprehended in the towns of Mahafiaa, Jabal Shamali and Bayt Furik. During the activity, the soldiers also located and confiscated weapons.
During the activity in the city of Hebron, four additional wanted suspects were apprehended. In the area of the city and in the towns of Yata and Khirbet Carmel, the soldiers confiscated 17 illegal vehicles.
The suspects were transferred to security forces for further questioning.
No IDF injuries were reported.
