In the early morning, IDF soldiers, Staff Sergeant Ori Izhak Iluz and Sergeant Lia Ben nun were killed by the live fire of an assailant, while they conducted a routine activity at a military post on the Egyptian border, in the area of the Paran Regional Brigade.
Staff Sergeant Ori Izhak Iluz, 20 from Safed, was a combat soldier in Bardelas Battalion. Ori was promoted in rank from Sergeant to Staff Sergeant after his death.
