IDF Soldier SGT Or Israelov was Killed Last Night (Tuesday) During a Training Accident at a Military Base in Southern Israel

Last night (Tuesday), an IDF soldier was killed as a result of a training accident during an exercise at a military base in southern Israel.

Sergeant Or Israelov, aged 18 from Bat Yam, served as a combat soldier in the Paratroopers Brigade. Or was promoted in rank from Corporal to Sergeant after his death.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated on-site by the commanders and the Military Police have opened an investigation into the event. Upon its completion, the findings will be handed over to the military prosecution for examination. 

His family have been notified.

The IDF expresses its heartfelt condolences to the family and will continue to support them.

In addition, the commander of the Ground Forces, Major General Tamir Yedai, ordered a halt to all training activities in IDF units until the completion of a clarification of safety protocols.
