‏IDF soldier CPL Baruch Kabarta was Killed Last Night, as a result of a Sustained Gun Injury.

The Head of the Manpower Directorate, MG Yaniv Asor, ordered on the establishment of an expert committee led by the Commanding Officer of the 646 Brigade, Colonel Yaron Simsolo, in order to investigate the event. 

The IDF Spokesperson announced that Corporal Baruch Kabarta is the soldier who was killed last night as a result of a sustained gun injury in central Israel. 

Corporal Baruch Kabarta  was a soldier in the Erez Battalion, age 19 and from the town of Petah Tikva.

Corporal Baruch Kabarta was promoted in rank from Private to Corporal after his death. 

The funeral of Corporal Baruch Kabarta will take place today (Tuesday), January 3, 2023 at 15:00, in the military section of the Petach Tikva Segula cemetery. 

The Military Police will continue investigating the event and following the investigation, the findings will be transferred to the the Military Advocate General. 

The IDF expresses its heartfelt condolences to the family and will continue to support them.
