The Naval Combatant’s Pin Awarding Ceremony

On Thursday, June 8, 2023, the Naval Combatant’s Pin Awarding Ceremony was held at the Haifa Naval Base. The ceremony was lead

 by Captain Erez Ben Zion—the Commanding Officer of the Flotilla 3, with further participation of additional commanders and the soldiers’ families.

Flotilla 3 operates in the maritime arena which comes with several opportunities and challenges. The flotilla’s soldiers sail and conduct courageous operational activities far from Israel.

The operational activity conducted by the flotilla is significant and groundbreaking. It’s no coincidence that the Flotilla 3 was awarded with the Chief of the General Staff’s Operational Service Award twice in the past year and a half and was chosen to be one of the IDF’s most outstanding units in 2022.”—Capt.
