Deputy Chief of the General Staff Returns From Official Visit to USCENTCOM
The Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Amir Baram, returned from a five-day-long official visit to the United States Central Command.
During his visit, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff visited the CENTCOM headquarters, where he held a series of strategic and professional meetings regarding the IDF and the U.S. Armed Forces. During the meetings, MG Baram received an overview of the activities of the various branches and discussed the current security cooperation between the countries.
Later in the week, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff visited Installations of the U.S. Army, Air Force and Navy, including the 75th Ranger Regiment, the 82nd Airborne Division and the United States Fleet Forces Command in Norfolk.
The focus of discussion during these visits was operational cooperation with the various U.S. Armed Forces units, with an emphasis on deterring Iran and its entrenchments in the Middle East.
The Deputy Chief of the General Staff concluded his visit with a series of meetings at the Pentagon, where he met with the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, the J5 and senior officials at the Department of Defense. The main topics discussed in these meetings were regional developments, deterring Iran and Force buildup.
