During the Yom Kippur War, a soldier, along with his comrades, stationed on the Syrian border during the Yom Kippur War, were ambushed by enemy soldiers. In the chaos of the attack, the soldier found himself separated from his unit and alone, surrounded by enemy soldiers with nowhere to run.

The soldier had to act fast - Exhausted of options, he ran toward the enemy tank while simultaneously firing an RPG. It was miraculously a direct hit and the tank was destroyed, with the enemy momentarily stunned, the soldier escaped. He managed to find his way back to his unit where he was welcomed back as a hero for his bravery and quick thinking.

The soldier’s story is just one example of making split-second decisions in times of crisis. During the Yom Kippur War, many IDF soldiers found themselves in similar situations, where they had to act quickly and decisively. The soldier’s actions embodied "Na'aseh v'nishma", acting quickly and having faith and trust that his training would guide him.
