These are some of the Hamas targets the IDF struck
After an improvised explosive device (IED) was detonated against IDF troops on February 17, IDF fighter jets attacked terror targets that belonged to the Hamas terror organization. The IED, which was placed near the security fence under the guise of a riot, injured four soldiers, two of whom were severely injured, one was moderately injured, and the fourth was lightly injured.
In response to the attack, the IDF struck a total of 18 targets that belonged to the Hamas terrorist organization. Eight of the targets were in a Hamas military compound near Deir el Balah, in central Gaza. The compound included weapon-manufacturing and military training infrastructures. Other targets were an offensive terror tunnel built by the Hamas terror organization in the Zaytun neighborhood towards Israeli territory and a military compound in the area of Khan Yunis, in which a number of structures were targeted. Additionally, an IDF tank targeted two observation posts.
The Hamas terror organization is accountable for this incident and its consequences, as well as everything happening in and from the Gaza Strip, above and below ground.
The IDF views the popular and seemingly spontaneous demonstrations that were used for terrorist activity and an attempt to destabilize the Gaza Strip as severe incidents. The IDF is determined to protect Israeli civilians and will do so by all means at its disposal.
