Israeli girl killed in bed after stabbing attack
17-year-old Palestinian terrorist, Muhammad Tarayra, stabbed and killed Hallel Yaffa Ariel, 13, in her bedroom in Kiryat Arba early Thursday morning. A member of Israeli security personnel was stabbed before the attacker was shot and killed.

Israel has faced a wave of terror in which 39 Israelis have been killed since October 2015 in stabbing and shooting attacks. The last few months have seen a significant decrease in attacks. However, this terrorist attack comes at the heels of the shooting attack at a popular mall in Tel Aviv in which 4 people were killed on June 8th.

During this month of Ramadan, Israel has experienced increased tensions. After the Tel Aviv shooting attack, Hamas applauded the attack as “the first signs of the holy month and first surprises that await the Zionists enemy during Ramadan.”
Hamas Twitter account praises the attack and deems it a “heroic” act.
