Search and rescue forces are operating at the site in southern Israel where reports of impact have been received, conducting searches and providing civilian assistance at the scene.

Prior to the impact, interception attempts were carried out, and the incident will be reviewed. Since the beginning of Operation Roaring Lion, the Israeli Air Force has intercepted dozens of threats and continues to operate, even at this time, to carry out interceptions and strikes wherever necessary in order to remove threats to the civilians of the State of Israel. 

The IDF emphasizes that the defense is not hermetic, and therefore it is important to continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command.

IDF: The IDF struck a strategic research and development facility utilized by the Iranian terror regime to develop nuclear weapons components in Tehran

As part of the waves of strikes completed recently in Tehran, the Israeli Air Force, acting on precise IDF intelligence, struck a strategic research and development facility belonging to the Iranian military industries and the ballistic missiles array. 

The ‘Malek-ashtar’ University facility was utilized by the Iranian terror regime’s military industries and ballistic missiles array to develop nuclear weapon components and weapons. 

The ‘Malek-ashtar’ University was subordinate to the Iranian Defense Ministry, and is sanctioned internationally due to its activities and efforts over the years to advance the Iranian nuclear program and to develop ballistic missiles. 

The strike constitutes an additional step in the continued effort to degrade the Iranian terrorist regime’s capability to progress toward obtaining nuclear weapons, and joins a series of actions that were carried out during Operation Roaring Lion, aimed at creating a wide-scale and prolonged impact on all foundations of the regime. 
The IDF will not allow the Iranian terror regime to obtain nuclear weapons.

IDF: The Chief of the General Staff During a Visit to Metula and Kiryat Shmona: “Your steadfastness and the resilience you demonstrate are what enable us to continue striking and degrading the enemy. We will not stop until the threat is pushed away from our border and long-term security is ensured for our residents”

The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, visited the northern sector today (Saturday), together with the Commander of the Home Front Command, MG Shay Klapper, the Commander of the 91st Division, BG Yuval Gaz, the Commander of the 769th Brigade, COL Y., and additional commanders.

As part of the visit, the Chief of the General Staff met with the Head of the Metula Local Council, David Azoulay, and the Mayor of Kiryat Shmona, Avichai Stern. He presented them with the operational situational assessment and discussed the IDF’s plans moving forward.

Remarks by the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir:
“We are operating according to an organized plan. We have struck in Iran and are prepared for the enhancement of the forward defensive posture in the north. The Hezbollah terrorist organization is a central proxy of the Iranian terror regime – the more we strike and weaken Iran, the more we weaken Hezbollah.

We are acting to push the threat away from our border and will stand on the front line as a barrier between the civilian communities and any threat.

We will continue to strike the “head of the snake” with determination and will not stop until security is restored to the area – we will not return to a cycle of escalation. Our best troops are operating at all times through limited, targeted ground operations, carrying out extraordinary work. Hezbollah is paying, and will continue to pay, a heavy price for attempting to threaten our civilians.
We will not stop until the threat is pushed away from our border and long-term security is ensured for the residents of the north.

It is important for me to tell you that we are doing everything to strengthen security. I came here to empower you and to tell you that I and the entire IDF are here with you. IDF: Dozens of wide-scale waves of strikes across Iran and Lebanon simultaneously: More than 200 targets of the Hezbollah terrorist organization and the Iranian terror regime

Over the weekend, the IDF continued to strike across Iran and Lebanon. 

As part of the strikes, the Israeli Air Force, acting on IDF intelligence, struck hundreds of Iranian terror regime targets across different locations in Iran, and Hezbollah targets across Lebanon. 

In Iran, the IDF struck dozens of Iranian regime compounds, utilized for storing weapons and ballistic missiles intended for firing against the State of Israel. Simultaneously, the IDF continues further degrade the Iranian regime's fire arrays. Over the weekend, missile launchers, aerial defense systems, and military compounds of the regime were struck.

Additionally, in Lebanon, the Israeli Air Force completed two waves of strikes in Beirut and in additional areas in Lebanon, in which key Hezbollah command centers were struck, including:  

* A command center used by Hezbollah’s Intelligence Headquarters, from which Hezbollah terrorists operated against IDF troops. 
* A command center used by Hezbollah’s Aerial Defense Array’s Headquarters to develop aerial defense systems, intended to harm IDF aircraft. 

In parallel, IDF troops continue to operate in southern Lebanon. 

Over the weekend, IDF troops in the 36th Division located numerous weapon stockpiles and eliminated more than 10 Hezbollah terrorists. Furthermore, the troops stuck and dismantled surveillance posts that posed a threat to the troops. 

Likewise, IDF troops in the 91st Division identified and eliminated several terrorists in southern Lebanon, as well as dismantled Hezbollah infrastructure sites and weapons. 

The IDF will continue to further degrade the Iranian regime and the Hezbollah terrorist organization, with the aim of reducing  the scope of fire directed toward the the State of Israel.

IDF: Special footage from Iranian airspace: Five strikes carried out within seconds targeting a missile storage facility where numerous missile array operatives were eliminated

Throughout Operation Roaring Lion, the Israeli Air Force had continuously targeted the firepower arrays of the Iranian terror regime, and particularly the ballistic missile array across Iran. 

The Israeli Air Force, acting on IDF intelligence, conducted five strikes within seconds on several infrastructure sites located within a large-scale ballistic missiles array site in western Iran. 

During the strikes, the IDF eliminated numerous operatives of the ballistic missiles array as they operated within the site to advance and carry out terror attacks against the State of Israel and additional countries in the Middle East. 

The IDF will continue to deepen the degradation of the Iranian regime's fire arrays all across Iran, with the aim of reducing as much as possible the scope of fire directed toward the territory of the State of Israel.

IDF: The IDF struck IRGC ballistic missiles production facilities in Tehran

The IDF continues its strikes on the systems and capabilities of the Iranian terror regime.

Overnight, the Israeli Air Force, acting on precise IDF intelligence, completed a wide-scale strike sortie in Tehran, during which dozens of Iranian terror regime targets belonging to the Iranian regime were struck.

As part of the strike sortie, facilities utilized for the production of critical components for the development of ballistic missiles, belonging to the the Iranian regime’s security apparatus were targeted. Among the sites struck:

* A central IRGC compound utilized for the production and development of ballistic missile components
* A missile production components storage facility
* A compound belonging to the Ministry of Defense responsible for producing missiles fuel
* Ballistic missiles components production site

The strikes significantly degrade the Iranian terror regime’s capabilities to continue producing critical components for ballistic missiles at these sites. 

The IDF will continue to expand its strikes against the regime’s weapons production facilities in order to degrade its capabilities to advance its ballistic missile program, which poses a direct threat to the State of Israel.

In addition to the sites mentioned above, the IDF struck several defense systems of the Iranian terror regime across Tehran.

The completed strikes are part of the current operational phase aimed at further expanding the damage to the core systems and foundations of the Iranian terror regime.

IDF: During an operational activity by the Israeli Air Force in Iranian airspace, the launch of a surface-to-air missile toward an Israeli aircraft was identified.

The crew acted in accordance with operational procedures. No damage was caused to the aircraft, and the mission was completed as planned.

Since the start of Operation Roaring Lion, multiple attempts were carried out to target and down Israeli fighter jets in Iranian airspace. The Israeli Air Force aircrews successfully managed these threats.

The Israeli Air Force will continue to operate and strike wherever required across Iran and will carry out its missions despite being under threat during every operational sortie.

IDF: Tonight (Saturday), during a targeted ground operation in southern Lebanon, IDF troops of the 91st Division identified several armed Hezbollah terrorists.

The troops eliminated one terrorist in a ground engagement. In addition, they directed an Israeli Air Force aircraft that struck several additional terrorists who fired toward IDF troops. Subsequently, the troops eliminated three additional terrorists using tank fire.

No IDF injuries were reported.

Additionally, the Israeli Air Force, acting on IDF intelligence, struck a number of Hezbollah headquarters that were used by Hezbollah terrorists in Beirut. 

The IDF will continue to operate decisively against the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which chose to join the war and operates with the backing of the Iranian regime. The IDF will not allow harm to Israeli civilians.
