Radwan Forces Terror Tunnel That Was Located Over the Past Year Has Been Dismantled

In parallel with the mission to defend the communities of the Galilee, the troops of the 769th Brigade, under the command of the 91st Division, are carrying out limited, localized, targeted raids based on precise intelligence in southern Lebanon. In recent weeks, the troops have been raiding enemy compounds in complex and mountainous terrain from which the Hezbollah terrorist organization had planned to launch an attack on Israeli territory.

In one of the cross-border operations this past year, IDF troops, including troops of the 769th Brigade and the Shaldag Unit, located an underground tunnel of the Radwan Forces within a civilian neighborhood. The underground tunnel was found inside a civilian house, which served as a weapons storage facility in a village in southern Lebanon. The troops located numerous weapons, terrorist infrastructure, and equipment intended to allow the terrorists to remain there for a long time.

At the beginning of the recent targeted raids, the underground tunnel and enemy compounds were dismantled by the brigade and divisional engineering forces.

In other activities, the soldiers raided military structures, including a hotel that served as cover for Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure. Inside, a weapons storage facility was found and dismantled, containing hundreds of anti-tank missile launcher positions and missiles that had been used to launch attacks on Galilee communities in recent months.
