Major Ceasefire Violations

19.02.26
IDF

On Friday, October 10th, 2025, at 12:00 PM, a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas came into effect. The conditions of the ceasefire consist of a 20-point plan, whose first phase stated that Hamas would return all 48 of the remaining hostages in Gaza, and fully disarm.

From the moment the ceasefire began, Hamas has been violating the terms. Claiming they were ‘unaware’ of the location of hostages' bodies. It took Hamas over 3 months to return each deceased hostage, when the IDF had intelligence proving Hamas knew where the bodies were.

For the retrieval of the last remaining deceased hostage, CPL. Ran Gvili, z”l, Hamas did not even return his body, the IDF was made to search thoroughly, identifying multiple bodies until they recovered Ran Gvili’s.

While all the hostages have now been returned, Hamas has yet to fully disarm, and continues to threaten IDF troops deployed across the yellow line.

All these activities constitute a clear violation of the understandings of the ceasefire, and the IDF has been responding in accordance with the ceasefire agreement, eliminating terrorists who pose a threat to our troops and citizens of Israel.

The following announcements are IDF press releases addressing each ceasefire violation by Hamas since the start of the agreement.

IDF: Hamas’ Deception for the Cameras: The Removal and Reburial of Body Remains to Stage a False Discovery for Red Cross Photographers

Contrary to Hamas' claims of difficulties locating the bodies of the deceased hostages, yesterday (Monday) Hamas operatives were documented removing body remains from a structure that had been prepared in advance and burying them nearby.
Shortly thereafter, the Hamas terrorist organization summoned representatives of the Red Cross and staged a false display of discovering a deceased hostage’s body.

This footage clearly shows that the Hamas terrorist organization is attempting to create a false impression of efforts to locate the bodies, while in fact holding deceased hostages whose remains it refuses to release as required by the agreement. This is accompanied by false claims of shortages in engineering equipment, equipment that is clearly unnecessary for the transfer of remains, and therefore these claims do not constitute an obstacle to the return of the remaining deceased hostages.
