IAF Launches Multi-Wave Strikes on Iran’s Nuclear and Weapons Production Sites
Over 50 Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out coordinated strikes across three areas in Iran, targeting core infrastructure tied to the regime’s nuclear weapons and military production programs.
The operation focused on key facilities in Arak and Yazd and were executed in three waves over several hours, hitting multiple targets simultaneously.
Among the sites struck were a military industry facility producing various weapons, a Ministry of Defense site responsible for developing advanced explosive devices used to arm terror proxies such as Hamas and Hezbollah, and a facility manufacturing components for ballistic and anti-aircraft missiles.
Separately, following the identification of renewed reconstruction efforts, the Israeli Air Force targeted the heavy water plant in Arak in central Iran. Heavy water is a unique material used to operate nuclear reactors such as the inactive reactor in Arak, which was originally designed to be capable of producing military-grade plutonium. These materials are also used as a material to produce a neutron source for nuclear weapons.

In addition, the plant was a significant economic asset for the terrorist regime, and served as a source of income for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran. Its activities generated tens of millions of dollars for the regime each year.
Despite international commitments, including the nuclear agreement, the Iranian regime failed to convert the reactor as required. Instead, it avoided making the necessary changes and deliberately prevented their completion, leaving the reactor capable of producing weapons-grade plutonium.
The plant was targeted during Operation Roaring Lion in June of 2025, after which repeated attempts by the Iranian terrorist regime to rehabilitate the site were identified. Therefore, the IAF targeted the facility once again.
These strikes represent a combined effort to degrade Iran’s nuclear weapons development and broader military production capacity. We will continue operating against the regime’s military industries to prevent further advancement of these programs.
