IDF Troops Begin Limited Ground Operations Against Hezbollah Targets in Southern Lebanon

In recent days, IDF troops operating under the 91st Division have begun limited and targeted ground operations against key Hezbollah strongholds in southern Lebanon. These operations are focused on areas where the terrorist organization has built up infrastructure and staging points used to threaten Israeli communities along the northern border.

The activity is part of a broader effort to strengthen the forward defensive area and push the threat posed by Hezbollah further away from Israeli civilians. By operating against these strongholds, the IDF aims to dismantle terrorist infrastructure, locate and destroy weapons and launch sites, and eliminate Hezbollah terrorists operating in the area. 

These actions are intended to remove immediate threats while creating an additional layer of security for residents of northern Israel and communities throughout the Galilee.

Prior to the troops’ entry into the area, the IDF carried out extensive preparatory strikes designed to reduce risks to the forces and disrupt Hezbollah’s capabilities. Using both artillery fire and precision strikes by the Israeli Air Force, numerous terrorist targets were hit, including infrastructure used by Hezbollah to store weapons, launch attacks, and coordinate operations. 

These strikes helped mitigate threats in the operational environment and degrade the organization’s ability to operate against Israeli forces and civilians.

At the same time, IDF soldiers continue to carry out defensive missions along the northern border to protect Israeli communities. Forces remain deployed across the Galilee, maintaining a constant defensive presence and readiness to respond to any attempt by Hezbollah to target Israeli civilians.

The IDF will continue to act with determination against the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which chose to join the hostilities and operate under the sponsorship of the Iranian terror regime. Israel will continue to defend its citizens, and the IDF will not allow harm to come to Israeli civilians.
