The Commander of the Southern Command, MG Yaniv Asor, visited the training excerise of the 11th Reserve Brigade at the National Center for Ground Training on Wednesday.

During the visit, the Commander of the Southern Command held a conversation with the brigade’s commanders and troops, emphasized their necessity in combat in the Gaza Strip, and expressed his appreciation for the troops at this time and for their readiness to respond to every mission and every call.

From the remarks of the Commander of the Southern Command, MG Yaniv Asor: "It was important for me to come here and speak with you before the mission. Sometimes it is difficult to grasp the bigger picture: the war for our right to independence in our country is not over. We will not stop until we achieve all the goals of the war - the release of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas. I know beyond any doubt that each of you: a student, an independent business owner, a soldier returning from a trip abroad, self-employed or employee married or single. Each of you left an entire world behind and reported for duty with great dedication. As a commander, I want to tell you that I draw strength from you. You are the ones carrying the nation’s security on your shoulders. You are the ones who come and stand here despite all these difficulties. Your determination is what will defeat them. The entire nation knows to value this, to appreciate it, and to salute you."
