The Commander of the Israeli Air Force, Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, conducted a visit today (Friday) to the Iron Dome battery of Battalion 138, responsible for air defense in the Eilat area. He was accompanied by the Commander of the Aerial Defense Array, Brig. Gen. K., along with other senior commanders.

During the visit, Maj. Gen. Bar held operational briefings and discussions with commanders and soldiers of the air defense array, expressing his appreciation for their dedication and emphasizing the need to maintain vigilance and a high level of operational readiness.

Later, the Israeli Air Forces Commander visited the site of the UAV impact in Eilat, together with Mayor Eli Lankri. He met with local council heads and residents, and toured the area with security forces personnel.

From the remarks of the Israeli Air Forces Commander, Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, during his visit to the Iron Dome battery:

“Your ability to maintain system readiness and operate professionally, while making decisions in real-time — saves lives.

The incident that occurred in Eilat was the result of a technical failure in one of the air defense systems; we conducted a thorough investigation of the recent strike, and the issue has been addressed and resolved.

Yesterday, we struck manned terrorist command posts and Houthi UAV depots in the heart of Sanaa, Yemen, employing a significant amount of munitions. We will continue to act as required to defend the citizens of the State of Israel.”
