The troops of the 55th Reserve Brigade were called up again for reserve duty in recent months and are currently operating defensively in southern Syria under the command of the 210th Division.
The troops are carrying out proactive defensive missions in order to maintain the security of Israeli civilians, and of the residents of the Golan Heights in particular.
As part of the activity, the troops concluded an operation to locate and scan the area during which weapons were located, including rocket parts and RPG missile components. All of the items that were located were dismantled.
The division’s troops remain deployed defensively in the area.
