Major General Politis is expected to soon assume his role as the IDF Military Attaché in Washington.

Brigadier General Tal Politis was promoted today (Wednesday) to the rank of Major General in a ceremony held at Camp Rabin (the Kirya) in the presence of Defense Minister Israel Katz, led by IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, and attended by members of the General Staff Forum, commanders, and family members.

This promotion follows the recent operation in Iran, Roaring Lion, in which the U.S. and Israel cooperated in targeted strikes on the Iranian terror regime. In the operation, American and Israeli planes flew side by side, thousands of kilometers from home, to dismantle the Iranian regime’s terror capabilities. 

This operation and its achievements were partly due to the hard work of the IDF Military Attaché in Washington, who acts as an IDF liaison in the U.S..

"More than two and a half years of war have taught us the necessity of standing our ground, demonstrating courage, and acting independently.
