“This achievement is the result of planning, drills, and thorough work that six months ago seemed like a fantasy; One of the most important things now is the civilian and military home front”

The Head of the Operations Directorate, MG Oded Basiuk, held a situational assessment today with the Commander of the Northern Corps, MG Dan Goldfus, Head of the Operations Division, BG Israel Shomer, and additional commanders in the Underground Operations Center at the ‘Rabin’ Camp (the Kirya).

From the remarks of the Head of the Operations Directorate, MG Oded Basiuk: “We are a few hours into the operation, and the first thing I want to express is my great appreciation for all the people here, from all sectors, all directorates, and all branches. This is something that, when we spoke about it six months ago, seemed like a fantasy. This achievement is the result of planning, drills, and thorough work by those sitting here, and also by those who aren’t.

There is a significant intelligence and operational effort here, led by the IAF, and the achievement, regarding the nuclear program, the scientists, the sites, and the military leadership, is truly impressive. One of the most important things now is the civilian and military home front, because the enemy’s response will come, and we must minimize the damage, maintain functional continuity, and preserve our offensive capabilities.”
