Dismantling of an Approximately Four-Kilometer Underground Tunnel Route and Locating Rocket Launchers
Troops from the 7th Brigade, under the command of the Gaza Division, continue their operational activity in the southern Gaza Strip, east of the Yellow Line.
Last week, following an exchange of fire in which six terrorists were eliminated, the troops conducted searches in the area and located equipment and weapons, including an explosive device, magazines, and an instructional manual for the preparation of explosives. The troops also located five inactive rocket launchers and several weapons.
In addition, the dismantling of an underground tunnel route, which began approximately a year ago, was completed in cooperation with Yahalom unit troops. The route, approximately four kilometers long, contained several underground rooms and weapons.
IDF troops under the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement framework and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.
