The Chief of the General Staff on a Field Tour in Judea and Samaria:"The mission in Judea and Samaria is clear: to thwart terrorism and defend the communities."
"The campaign continues, we are expanding operations in Gaza in the coming days. We are committed to acting responsibly - vigilant, prepared, and sharp at the operational edge."
The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, held a situational assessment and field tour in Tulkarm today (Friday) together with the Commander of Central Command, MG Avi Bluth, the Head of the Operations Directorate, MG Itzik Cohen, the Commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, BG Yaki Dolf, and other commanders.
The Chief of the General Staff spoke with troops and commanders from the Paratroopers Brigade in the area, expressed his appreciation for their efforts, and emphasized that their contribution is vital to safeguarding the residents’ security. In addition, the Chief of the General Staff noted his deep appreciation for the Division Commander, who is soon to complete his tenure, stating that his period in command has had an exceptional impact on the operational situation.
From the remarks of the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir: “We are operating across all arenas with responsibility and constant vigilance - we do not have the privilege to ease up. There is no arena in which you have not operated in the past two years. The mission in Judea and Samaria is clear: to thwart terrorism and defend the communities. As in every arena, we do not wait - we eliminate threats before they grow. Terrorism strikes precisely where one is unprepared, and therefore we tailor the exact operational response to each arena. The campaign is ongoing, and we are expanding our activities in Gaza. We are committed to acting responsibly - vigilant, prepared, and sharp at the operational edge.”
“The activities are thorough and significant - you are uprooting the roots of terrorism and ensuring they cannot grow back. Today, there is no place in Judea and Samaria that cannot be reached; to be anywhere, at the right time, to prevent attacks and to continue enabling operational freedom of action.”
“We are focusing on locating the terrorists in the Binyamin region following yesterday’s attack. We will continue to operate in the region with the goal of thwarting terrorism in every form and employing all operational and intelligence means until the terrorists are captured.”
