As part of preparations for the week of Passover, the IDF reinforced the Judea and Samaria Division with six companies that will operate throughout the week-long holiday.
Over the past week, troops operated across Judea and Samaria to counter terrorism in three brigade-level overnight operations. Approximately 85 suspects were apprehended and several weapons were confiscated.
Troops operated this week in the towns of Balata and Tubas as part of the counterterrorism effort in northern Samaria and detained dozens of suspects.
In addition, this week in Deir Ibzi, security forces demolished the residence of the terrorist that carried out the shooting attack at HaParsa Junction, killing SFC Ilay David Garfinkel. In Tulkarm, security forces demolished the residence of the terrorist Muhammad Shakhur, who took part in the attack at the Beit Lid Junction, in which SFC (Res.) Elhanan Ariel Klein fell.
Security forces will continue to operate both defensively and offensively to ensure the safety of the citizens of the State of Israel.
