Hezbollah Attempted To Restore an Underground Weapons Production Facility in Dahieh and Conceal Its Activity From the Monitoring Mechanism

The IDF revealed that in recent months, Hezbollah has been attempting to restore an underground weapons production facility in the heart of the Al-Shifouat neighborhood in Dahieh, which was established near a school and beneath residential buildings, after it was struck in November 2024.

This is a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon under the ceasefire agreement. The information was conveyed to the monitoring mechanism at the beginning of January, and accordingly, it was decided to conduct a surprise inspection. However, aerial footage shows that Hezbollah was made aware of the surprise inspection in advance, and removed the engineering vehicles operating at the underground weapons manufacturing facility on the day of the inspection and returned them afterward.

This is a serious incident, the IDF is committed to upholding the understandings between Israel and Lebanon, and will continue to operate to remove any threat to the State of Israel and to prevent any attempt by the Hezbollah terrorist organization to establish a stronghold.
