Superiority in the Spectrum

ABSTRACT: A sharp rise in the importance and intensivity of warfare in the electro-magnetic spectrum has begun in recent years, as armies rely more on connectivity and efficient communication between units. The multi-domain concept itself requires high levels of quick and effective synchronization, which depends on communication in the spectrum. Additionally, the adversary's reliance on communication in the spectrum presents opportunities to the IDF. This paper presents the idea of "superiority in the spectrum", and the IDF's challenges today in preserving superiority against adversaries who are becoming stronger, along with recommendations for the IDF to strengthen its activities in this field.
