Israel's Security Concept

ABSTRACT: In the geopolitical circumstances in which Israel operates today, the results of the next war and its long-term consequences will not be decided in the political arena, but first and foremost by the military end-state of the war. The IDF must therefore achieve a clear victory in the next war, as its military achievements will be what dictate the nature of the security environment in the following years. In light of this, this paper presents the senior military echelon with a proposed national security concept as a guide to long-term military strategy, to direct the efforts of force design and employment.
