ABSTRACT: What is multi-domain military superiority and how can it be achieved in a way that breaks the mold of "silo" thinking by the different branches? This article answers the question by presenting a number of new distinctions, between generic superiority (force design) and situational supremacy (force employment), and between techno-tactical superiority (expressed in the interface between platforms) and operational superiority (which emerges on the battlefield). These distinctions contribute to the research around Israeli superiority, including through renewed appraisal of the events of Israel's military history. The author gives new content to the idea of military superiority and recommends that the IDF achieve generic superiority in the next war in the areas where it operates at an advantage, such as intelligence, cyber, the electro-magnetic spectrum and in the air, in such a way as to enable the creation of situational, techno-tactical and operational superiority on the ground.
