"Choosing a Path"—The Innovation Revolution in the World of Human Capital in the Technology and Maintenance Corps

ABSTRACT: Globalization and the rate of technological change alter the rules of the game in the business world, and also create difficulties in retaining high-quality manpower in the IDF. Today, there is a widespread perception in the private sector that employees are the employer's clients, who expect the organization to contribute to  them personally and professionally. The paper presents how the economic mechanisms influence the manpower in the IDF, and how the plan to respond ("Choosing a Way")  - which was developed as a pilot in the Technology and Maintenance Corps — spurred significant feedback within the system.
