Violence Against IDF Soldiers is Criminal and Should Be Condemned and Denounced

Overnight, a violent riot instigated adjacent to the town of Huwara including dozens of Israeli civilians, in which they hurled rocks at Palestinian vehicles.

IDF soldiers who were in the area and led by the battalion commander, operated to disperse the riot.

The soldiers were attacked by the civilians, who sprayed pepper spray on the battalion commander and another soldier.

Later on the civilians sprayed two additional soldiers at the Tapuah junction.

The IDF strongly condemns the violence that was used against the soldiers.

Violence against the security forces is criminal behavior.

Acts of violence carried out by civilians who are protected by the soldiers, is a misconduct that must be denounced and acted against vigorously.
