IDF, ISA and Israel Police forces conducted counterterrorism activity in Judea and Samaria overnight; A senior Islamic Jihad terrorist organization operative was apprehended
Overnight, IDF, ISA and Israel Border Police forces conducted counterterrorism activity in a number of locations in Judea and Samaria, including the towns of Khusan, Dir Aistia, Al Bira, and in the Jalazone Camp.
The soldiers operated in the town of Jabarath in order to confiscate ammunition and to apprehend Yahi Al Saadi, a senior Islamic Jihad terrorist organization operative who is also suspected of involvement in terrorist activity. During the activity in the Jenin Camp, suspects fired at the soldiers, who responded with live fire. A hit was identified.
During IDF and Israel Border Police joint activity in the Dheisha Camp, three wanted suspects who are affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine terrorist organization were apprehended. During the activity, suspects hurled rocks, Molotov cocktails and explosives at the forces, who responded with live fire. Hits were identified.
In addition, the forces operated in the towns of Beit Kahal, as-Samu, Tapuah, and Bayt Awa in order to apprehend four additional suspects.
IDF soldiers also operated in the city of Qalqilya and in the towns of Ni'lin and Kifl Haris and apprehended five additional wanted suspects.
No IDF injuries were reported.
The suspects were transferred to security forces for further questioning.
