A joint IDF, ISA and Israel Border Police Announcement:

During a joint IDF, ISA and Israel Border Police counterterrorism activity in the city of Jenin today, Jibril Zubeidi, a Tanzim military operative from Jenin was apprehended following ISA intelligence. Zubeidi is involved in terrorist activity against security forces and planning attacks. He is also suspected of involvement in the kidnap of Tiran Fero's body.

Zubeidi surrendered himself to the forces upon their arrival at the residence in which he stayed.

During the activity, armed individuals fired at the forces who responded back with live fire. As well, ammunition was located in a vehicle during the forces' searches in the area. Furthermore, suspects hurled explosive devices and rocks at the forces.

We are aware of the reports regarding a number of armed individuals who got injured during the exchange of fire.

The forces left the city, no IDF injuries were reported
