IDF, ISA and Israel Police Forces Conducted Counterterrorism Activities in Judea and Samaria
Overnight, IDF, ISA and Israel Border Police forces conducted counterterrorism activities in a number of locations in Judea and Samaria, including in the towns of Dayr Samet, Dura, Beit Ur al-Tahta, Baqa, al-Midya and Ya'bad.
The forces operated in the Dheisha camp and apprehended two wanted individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist activity. While operating in the village of Sawahera al-Sharqiya, the forces apprehended another wanted suspect. During the activity, suspects hurled explosive devices and rocks at the forces who responded with riot dispersal means.
Additionally, IDF soldiers operated in the towns of Hebron, and in the village of ad-Dhahiriya, and apprehended three wanted suspects.
While operating in the Qalandiya camp, the forces apprehended six suspects and confiscated an M16 rifle, weapon parts, ammunition and funds used for terrorist activity.
During the activity suspects hurled rocks and blocks from the rooftops aiming at soldiers operating beneath, risking their lives.
The soldiers responded with riot dispersal means and live ammunition.
A hit was Identified.
The forces also operated in the city of Qalqilya, apprehending three additional suspects.
In the town of Raba the forces apprehended one suspect and confiscated a “Carlo” rifle along with its ammunition. In the town of Wadi Fharah the forces apprehended an additional suspect who hurled rocks and an explosives device at the forces
The suspects were transferred to security forces for further questioning.
No IDF injuries were reported.
