On July 21, 2017, while the Solomon family was in their home celebrating Shabbat (the Jewish Sabbath) Omar al-Abed infiltrated their home, and stabbed four members of the family. Only one survived. The terrorist was then apprehended by an IDF soldier.
Omar al-Abed was convicted on December 27, 2017 of three counts of murder, two counts of attempted murder, incitement, and additional security offences.
The IDF will continue to act with determination to protect Israeli citizens, maintain the security in Judea and Samaria, and to bring terrorist operatives to justice.
