The two Palestinians are accused of having planned and carried out a shooting attack on the Salem military camp
Two Palestinians were indicted today (Thursday, February 7) on serious charges including weapons trafficking and firing gunshots at a person. The indictment alleges that the suspects planned and carried out a shooting attack on the IDF's Salem base.
The investigation found that the suspects, who traveled in a car driven by a third person, fired roughly 30 shots from two M-16 rifles. A number of these bullets struck the military base, some of them penetrating offices where soldiers were at the time.
The investigation also indicated that the attack was carried out at the direction and with the assistance of Zakaria Zubeidi, who supplied the perpetrators with two guns and the vehicle from which the shots were fired.
