Members of the squad were arrested by the IDF and the Israel Security Agency in November and December 2012
A terror squad responsible for executing terror attacks was arrested by the IDF and the Israel Security Agency (ISA, or Shin Bet security service) over the course of November and December 2012.
The squad members are operatives of the Tanzim and Fatah organizations and residents of Beit Fajar. They admitted to executing a shooting attack in the area and planning several other attacks against Israeli residents. These attacks were prevented due to their arrests.
During the investigation, the operatives admitted that on November 11, 2012, they fired on and damaged an Israeli public bus departing from the community of Migdal Oz. They also fired upon security personnel who arrived on the scene.
In January 2013, the operatives were charged with serious crimes, including attempting to deliberately cause death.
