Aircraft of the Israel Air Force targeted a terrorist squad preparing to fire rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israel
Update (5:00 PM): This afternoon (Sunday, October 14th) a terrorist squad fired a rocket from the central Gaza Strip at Israel and was targeted, in the following moments, by IAF aircraft. A hit was confirmed.
This morning (Sunday, October 14), IAF aircraft targeted a terrorist squad in the southern Gaza Strip in its final preparations to fire rockets at Israel. A hit was confirmed.
Over 500 rockets have hit Israel since the beginning of 2012.
Earlier Saturday, IAF aircraft targeted a terror activity site in the northern Gaza Strip and two terror activity sites in the central Gaza Strip. Direct hits were confirmed. The sites were targeted in response to the rocket fire towards southern Israel. The IDF will not tolerate any attempt by terrorist groups to target Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers, and will continue to operate against those who use terror against the State of Israel. The Hamas terror organization is solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip.
