Two rockets struck southern Israeli cities overnight; over 455 rockets have hit Israel from Gaza thus far this year
Two Grad rockets were fired into cities in southern Israel overnight (Saturday, September 8-Sunday, September 9). One of the rockets struck a house in the city of Netivot (home to over 26,500 residents), hitting the house's roof above the living room. The other rocket exploded in an open field in Beer Sheva.
Since the beginning of 2012, more than 455 rockets have hit Israel from the Gaza Strip.
Over the past nine days of September, more than 10 rockets have hit southern Israel, triggering alarms in the nearby communities.
