Home Front Command to hold a nationwide SMS alert system test

Text messages in four different languages will be sent to private cell phones across the country to ensure the alert systems function properly

The Home Front Command will conduct a nationwide testing of the "Personal Message" alert system, tomorrow (Sunday, August 12) until Thursday (August 16).

During the test, SMS messages in four different languages (Arabic, Hebrew, English and Russian), will be sent to the personal cellular phones of citizens in different locations throughout the country including: Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Acre, Nahariya, Safed, Ashdod, and Ashqelon.

The content of the SMS message will be: "The Home Front Command, mobile alerts system test", and will include a serial number.
