According to an ISA report, 64 terror attacks were reported this month in comparison with 165 attacks in June. 18 rockets fired at Israel over the past month
Israeli Security Agency (ISA) report published today (Thursday, August 2) shows a decrease in terror attacks in July 2012 in comparison with the previous month, with 64 attacks as opposed to 165. The decrease in terror activity was particularly evident in the Gaza Strip where 28 terror attacks were carried out during July, in comparison with 99 attacks in June.
A decrease in terror attacks was recorded in Judea and Samaria and Jerusalem as well, in comparison with June 2012. In Judea and Samaria 30 terror attacks were reported as opposed to 48, and in Jerusalem there were 6 terror attacks compared with 18 the previous month.
This month, on July 18th, a terror attack was carried out against a bus of Israeli tourists in Burgus, Bulgaria, where five Israelis were killed and over 30 were injured.
During July 2012, 18 rockets and nine mortar shells were fired at Israel, as opposed to 197 rockets and 21 mortar shells during June.
