A terrorists opened fire at IDF soldiers near the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip, today Friday (July 13). The soldiers fired back at the terrorists, confirming a hit. No soldiers were injured and no damage was caused as a result of the attack.
Yesterday, IAF aircraft targeted a terrorist in the northern Gaza Strip. The terrorist was concluding preparations to fire a rocket at Israel. A direct hit was confirmed.
Additionally, IDF artillery forces and IAF aircraft targeted a Hamas terrorist squad in the Gaza Strip. The squad was in position to launch an anti-tank missile at IDF soldiers performing routine activity near the security fence. A hit was confirmed.
Over the past year, approximately 400 rockets hit southern Israel, endangering the lives of over one million Israeli civilians.
Last Tuesday (July 10) IAF aircraft targeted a Hamas terrorist organization terror base and additional Hamas terror sites in the southern Gaza Strip. Direct hits were confirmed and all aircraft returned safely to their airbases. The attack was a response to rocket fire attacks from the Gaza Strip, targeting Israeli civilian populations over the past week.
Earlier this week, on Monday, Yad Mordechai, an Israeli community in southern Israel, came under heavy fire from the Gaza Strip. A restaurant and a vehicle were damaged. IDF fired back at the sources of the attack. As a result of the attack, communities in the region were put on high alert till IDF forces completed thorough searches in the area. The IDF will not tolerate any attempt by terrorist groups to target Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers, and will continue to operate against those who use terror against the State of Israel. The Hamas terror organization is solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip.
