The military court at Ofer on Sunday (July 1) imposed 54 life sentences on Ibrahim Hamed, a former leader of the Hamas military wing in Judea and Samaria who was convicted last week for responsibility for a long line of terrorist attacks that killed 46 people and wounded more than 400 during the Second Intifada.

Among the attacks that Hamed was responsible for were the bombings at the Sheffield Club in Rishon Letzion and at Café Moment, the Ben Yehuda Pedestrian Mall, and Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Hamed was also convicted for six attempted attacks that failed, including efforts to blow up a gas depot and rail lines.
