Two additional soldiers severely injured and another slightly injured during routine reconnaissance activity in northern Israel. Incident currently under investigation
An IDF soldier was killed and two additional soldiers severely injured when their military reconnaissance vehicle overturned during routine operational activity today (Friday, June 8) in the Golan Heights. Another soldier was slightly injured. The killed soldier is 19 year-old Pvt. Dor Ga'an from central Israel. The military vehicle overturned on the road between the communities in the area. Forces of Magen David Adom, Israel's national emergency care service, were called to the site and provided medical treatment to the injured soldiers, who were initially caught under the vehicle. One of the severely injured soldiers was evacuated to a nearby hospital via helicopter, suffering from severe injuries to his head and chest. Although anesthetized and mechanically ventilated, the soldier later passed away at the hospital. The other two severely injured soldiers were also evacuated to a nearby hospital. The slightly injured soldier was evacuated to another hospital by ambulance. The families of the soldiers were informed of the incident, currently under investigation by IDF forces.
