Overnight, IAF aircraft targeted a weapon manufacturing facility and a terror tunnel in the northern Gaza Strip. Direct hits were identified.
The targeting of these sites was in response to the rocket fire on communities in southern Israel. During 2012 over 270 rockets were fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip.
The IDF will continue to operate against anyone who uses terror against the residents of the State of Israel. The Hamas terror organization is solely responsible for any terrorist activity emanating from the Gaza Strip.
